The ORM Is Entering a Critical Year — Join Us in Uxbridge


2026 is a critical year for Oak Ridges Moraine.


With municipal elections in the fall and the next Greenbelt review looming of the horizon, the decisions being made over the next year will determine the policy and regulations on the ORM for the decade to come.


From Caledon in the West and Port Hope in the East, communities are already seeing the signs: settlement boundary pressure, infrastructure expansion, land-use conflicts, growing water insecurity, and renewed attempts to push sprawl into our rural and natural heritage systems.


On Saturday, June 13, 2026, STORM will be gathering supporters, allies, residents, and community partners at the Uxbridge Historical Centre for an in-person program launch and community outreach session.
